    From your hostel, walk to Makati Avenue, corner Buendia where the Petron gas station is. From the gas station, ride a jeepney with a signboard that says “LRT”. This will take you all the way to the Light Railway Transit (LRT) Line 1 Gil Puyat Station.
    Ride the LRT 1 train from Gil Puyat Station and alight at Central Terminal Station where you can walk to Intramuros.

  • Luneta / Rizal Park

This will take you all the way to the Light Railway Transit (LRT) Line 1 Gil Puyat Station. Ride the LRT 1 train from Gil Puyat Station and alight at United Nations Station where you can walk to Luneta / Rizal Park.

  • Chinatown / Quiapo

    From your hostel, walk to Makati Avenue, corner Buendia where the Petron gas station is. From the gas station, ride a jeepney with a signboard that says “LRT”. This will take you all the way to the Light Railway Transit (LRT) Line 1 Gil Puyat Station. Ride the LRT 1 train from Gil Puyat station and alight at Carriedo Station where you can walk to Chinatown (left exit) and Quiapo (right exit).

  • Chinese Cemetery

    From your hostel, walk to Makati Avenue, corner Buendia where the Petron gas station is. From the gas station, ride a jeepney with a signboard that says “LRT”. This will take you all the way to the Light Railway Transit (LRT) Line 1 Gil Puyat Station. Ride the LRT 1 train from Gil Puyat station and alight at Abad Santos Station where you can walk to the Chinese Cemetery.

  • Malate (for the nightlife)

    From your hostel, walk to Makati Avenue, corner Buendia where the Petron gas station is. From the gas station, ride a jeepney with a signboard that says “LRT”. This will take you all the way to the Light Railway Transit (LRT) Line 1 Gil Puyat Station. Ride the LRT 1 train from Gil Puyat station and alight at Pedro Gil station. From the station, walk along Pedro Gil Street (landmark is the Petron gas station on the left side). As you walk, you will also pass by other streets such as Ma. Orosa, Bocobo, Adriatico, and Mabini. Every street has a number of bars and restaurants, but the most frequented areas are Adriatico and Nakpil.

COMING BACK
From the above areas, all you have to do is go back to the nearest LRT 1 station and ride the train back to Gil Puyat Station. Once you alight from Gil Puyat Station, you will find jeepneys below the station with a Guadalupe signboard. Ride this jeepney and tell the driver to drop you off at Makati Avenue (where the Petron gas station is). From your drop-off point, which across the gas station, you can walk back to your hostel.


  • Makati Central Business District

    The Makati CBD (Central Business District), which runs along the stretch of Makati Avenue, is walking distance from Poblacion where the hostels are. If walking is not an option, you may also take a jeepney with a signboard that says Ayala to go to the big malls (Glorietta and Greenbelt), Ayala Triangle, and Ayala Museum. These jeepneys run until 10pm along Makati Avenue.

COMING BACK
From any establishment along Makati Avenue, walk a good 15 minutes back to Poblacion. Highly recommended if you want to save money.


  • The Fort / BGC – Bonifacio Global Center (Commercial Center)

    Take an Ayala jeepney along Makati Avenue and tell the driver to drop you off at Landmark (this is a department store). From Landmark, walk to the Edsa / MRT – Metro Railway Transit Ayala Station where you will see the Telus Building. Right beside the building is the BGC Bus Station where you will find buses that head to The Fort / BGC 24 hours a day.

BUDGET TIP: Right across Telus is Shell gas station. At the back of Shell is the terminal for the Market! Market! (a shopping center in the BGC area) bound jeepneys. You may also take this jeepney (530am – 12 midnight) to enter BGC.

COMING BACK
In BGC, there are designated bus stops. Go to the nearest “West” bus stop and take the BGC “West Route” bus back to the BGC Bus Station in Ayala. From the bus station, take the same walking route back to Makati Avenue and to your hostel.

If you’re at Market! Market!, you may take one of the jeepneys with the Ayala / Washington signboard and tell the driver to drop you off at Makati Avenue (landmark is the Ayala Triangle). From Makati Avenue, you can walk back to your hostel.


  • Cubao X / Araneta Center

    a. Ride the jeepney with a Guadalupe Ibabaw signboard from Valdez Street or J.P. Rizal Street and tell the driver to drop you off at EDSA. Once at EDSA, there are two ways to get to Cubao X and Araneta Center in Quezon City:
    – Ride the MRT (Metro Railway Transit). – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
    – Take the public metro bus.
    b. If you plan to take the MRT, the station at your drop-off point in EDSA is called Guadalupe. Take the northbound train from Guadalupe to Araneta Center – Cubao Station. Once at Araneta Center – Cubao Station, you can walk to Cubao X (it’s at the back of the very visible Araneta Coliseum. It usually takes a good 5-10 minute walk).
    c. You may also take the public metro bus, but from your jeepney drop-off point in EDSA-Guadalupe, you have to cross to the other side, passing through the MRT station or the nearest footbridge which is beside Loyola Memorial Center, and alight at the right exit facing Sogo Hotel (red and yellow hotel) where the buses stop. Ride a bus with a signboard that says “Cubao Ibabaw” (Bus A) and tell the driver to drop you off at Farmers (which is at the Araneta Center). Once at Farmers, walk to Cubao X.

COMING BACK
From Cubao X, head to the southbound lane of EDSA (you’ll have to pass through Farmers Mall) and ride a public metro Bus A (usually with a signboard that says “Ayala” or “Baclaran”). Tell the driver to drop you off at Guadalupe. Once at Guadalupe, walk to Bernardino Street which is right beside Loyola Memorial Chapel. On that street are jeepneys bound for Ayala Avenue (5am – 1o pm), with the “Ayala” signboard. Ride this jeepney and tell the driver to drop you off at Valdez Street or Kalayaan Street, depending on the location of your hostel.


  • Mall of Asia

    Ride the jeepney with a Guadalupe signboard from Valdez Street or J.P. Rizal Street and tell the driver to drop you off at EDSA. Once at EDSA, walk to the the bus stop, which is the EDSA-Guadalupe bus stop, and ride a public metro bus with a signboard that says “Mall of Asia” (Bus A or Bus C).

COMING BACK
From the Mall of Asia bus stop, take public metro Bus A (usually has a signboard that says “Crossing”) and tell the driver to drop you off at Guadalupe. Once at Guadalupe, you will see the Guadalupe footbridge. Cross this footbridge and walk to Bernardino Street which is right beside Loyola Memorial Chapels & Crematorium (arrow on the linked photo indicates the jeepney drop-off / pick-up point). On that street are jeepneys bound for Ayala Avenue (5am – 1o pm), with the “Ayala” signboard. Ride this jeepney and tell the driver to drop you off at Valdez Street or Kalayaan Street depending on the location of your hostel.
