From your hostel, walk to the nearest LRT (Light Railway Transit Line 1 station; see above) station and follow these instructions:

  • Intramuros

    Ride the train from your respective station and alight at Central Terminal Station where you can walk to Intramuros.

LRT 1 = 15 Pesos

  • Luneta / Rizal Park

Ride the train from your respective station and alight at United Nations Station where you can walk to Luneta / Rizal Park.

BUDGET TIP: You can also walk to Intramuros from Luneta / Rizal Park and vice versa.

  • Chinatown / Quiapo

    Ride the train from your respective station and alight at Carriedo Station where you can walk to Chinatown (left exit) and Quiapo (right exit).

BUDGET TIP: From Quiapo, you can take a jeepney to Intramuros. The jeepney stops in front of Quiapo Church. You should see an “Intramuros” signboard on the jeepney.

  • Chinese Cemetery

    Ride the train from your respective station and alight at Abad Santos Station where you can walk to the Chinese Cemetery. Those coming from Red Carabao can walk to the cemetery without using public transportation.

  • Malate (for the nightlife) – for those coming from Pink Manila and Red Carabao only

    Ride the train from your respective station and alight at Pedro Gil station. From the station, walk along Pedro Gil Street (landmark is the Petron gas station on the left side). As you walk, you will also pass by other streets such as Ma. Orosa, Bocobo, Adriatico, and Mabini. Every street has a number of bars and restaurants, but the most frequented areas are Adriatico and Nakpil.

COMING BACK
For the above areas, all you have to do is go back to the nearest LRT Line 1 station (where you previously disembarked). Once at the station, take the train back to the respective station near your hostel.


  • Makati Central Business District

    Ride the train from your respective station and alight at Gil Puyat Station. Below the station, you will see public metro buses. Take a public metro bus with a signboard that says LRT / AYALA (you should see the signboard in front of the bus; sample here). Tell driver to drop you off at Ayala – Rustans.

Public Metro Bus = 12 Pesos
TOTAL = 27 – 32 Pesos

COMING BACK
Go to the Philippine Exchange Plaza, which is along Ayala Avenue, and ride a public metro bus with the AYALA / LRT signboard. Tell the driver to drop you off at the “LRT” (the driver will drop you off at the LRT Gil Puyat station). Once at the LRT, you can take the train back to the respective station near your hostel.


  • The Fort / BGC – Bonifacio Global Center (Commercial Center)

    Ride the train from your respective station and alight at Edsa Station. From the Edsa station, walk along the pathway that’s headed to the MRT (Metro Railway Transit). Once at the MRT, where the first station is called Taft Avenue Station, ride the northbound train from Taft and alight at Ayala Station. Once at Ayala, you will see the Telus building, which is on the right side of the MRT station. Right beside this building is the BGC Bus Station where you will find buses that head to The Fort / BGC 24 hours a day.

BUDGET TIP: Right across Telus is Shell gas station. At the back of Shell is the terminal for the Market! Market! (a shopping center in the BGC area) bound jeepneys. You may also take this jeepney (530am – 12 midnight) to enter BGC.

LRT = 15-30 Pesos
MRT = 13 Pesos
TOTAL = 35 – 55 Pesos

COMING BACK
In BGC, there are designated bus stops. Go to the nearest “West” bus stop and take the BGC “West Route” bus back to the BGC Bus Station in Ayala – which is beside the MRT station. Once at Ayala, ride the MRT from Ayala Station to Taft Avenue Station. And from the MRT, take the same pathway again back to the LRT Edsa Station and ride the train to go back to the respective station near your hostel.

 


  • Cubao X / Araneta Center

    a. If coming from Red Carabao Hostel or a hostel along Adriatico, ride the train from your respective station and alight at Doroteo Jose station. Once at Doroteo Jose station, follow the pathway heading towards the LRT (Light Railway Transit) Line 2. The first station of LRT Line 2 is Recto. Take the train from Recto Station and get off at Araneta Center – Cubao Station where you can walk to Cubao X.
    b. If coming from Vito Cruz, ride the train from your respective station and alight at Edsa station. From the Edsa station, walk along the pathway that’s headed to the MRT (Metro Railway Transit). Once at the MRT, where the first station is called Taft Avenue Station, ride the northbound train from Taft and alight at Araneta Center – Cubao Station where you can walk to Cubao X.

LRT 2 = 20 Pesos
MRT = 24 Pesos
TOTAL = 35 – 39 Pesos

Use the same train lines to head back to the stations near your hostel.


  • Mall of Asia

    Ride the train from your respective station and alight at Gil Puyat Station. Below the station, you will see the Jac Liner Terminal. In front or just a few meters away from the terminal, you will see jeepneys with the “Mall of Asia” signboard. They’re available from 4am – 1am and will take you all the way to the Mall of Asia.

COMING BACK
Head to the Mall of Asia terminal and ride a Buendia LRT bound jeepney (5am – 2am) that will take you to the Gil Puyat LRT station where you can ride the train back to the stations near your hostel.
