From Airport Terminal 4 to Hostels in Parañaque

Before you proceed, please make sure to read the following:


In Parañaque, the hostels are located in two areas: Sucat and Merville.

In particular, these hostels are:

  • Cozee Monkey Backpackers – located in Multinational Village (which is the area right before Sucat proper)
  • Islas 8817 Guesthouse – located in Sucat proper
  • Lions Den Backpackers Manila – located in Merville

Parañaque is a huge city, which is why if you look at Google Maps, you will see that Sucat is south of the airport while Merville is in the east side.

Both Cozee Monkey and Islas 8817 are on the same direction, but for Lions Den, you have to take a different route.

From Terminal 4, here’s how:

COZEE MONKEY

  • Exit the gate of Terminal 4 and head right until you reach the intersection (350 meters).
  • The intersecting road is “Airport Road” and you will see Petron Gasoline Station to your left as the landmark.
  • Once at the intersection, make a left, passing Petron, and walk until you see 711 (250 meters; See photo of the 711 area).
  • From 711, ride a jeepney with a signboard that says “Sucat / Aquino Ave”.
  • Tell the jeepney driver to drop you off at “Multinational Village”.
  • Your drop-off landmark is Puregold Supermarket and beside it is another footbridge.
  • Cross this footbridge and you will arrive at the entrance of Multinational Village (see photo of entrance).
  • Once at the entrance of the village, walk along the sidewalk until you reach a waiting shed where you will find green tricycles.
  • Ride one of the green tricycles and tell the driver to drop you off at Cozee Monkey in Galatia (locals pronounce it as “Gah-lash-ya). Cost is 30 Pesos / person / ride and they operate 24 hours daily.
  • DO NOT RIDE the YELLOW tricycles because they are not authorized to enter the village.

COST:
Jeepney = 7 Pesos
Tricycle = 30 Pesos
TOTAL = 37 Pesos

Taxi = 300 Pesos or more

Budget Commute Savings = 263  Pesos ($6 USD) or more


ISLAS 8817 GUESTHOUSE

  • Exit the gate of Terminal 4 and head right until you reach the intersection (350 meters).
  • The intersecting road is “Airport Road” and you will see Petron Gasoline Station to your left as the landmark.
  • Once at the intersection, make a left, passing Petron, and walk until you see 711 (250 meters; See photo of the 711 area).
  • From 711, ride a jeepney with a signboard that says “Sucat / Aquino Ave”.
  • Tell the jeepney driver to drop you off at “Valley 2”.
  • Once at Valley 2 (landmark is the San Antonio Valley arch; this area is also across MTF Building and Fortunata Vill. Garden City Subdivision), walk pass the San Antonio Valley arch (which is at San Pedro Street).
  • Make a right on the first street – landmark is the Ministop convenience store (see photo of the area) – and walk all the way to gate 8817 which should be on your left side.

COST:
Jeepney = 12 Pesos
TOTAL = 12 Pesos

LIONS DEN BACKPACKERS MANILA

  • Once you exit Terminal 4, head left.
  • Walk about 900 meters until you reach the main intersection where you will see Park ‘N’ Fly on your right.

  • At Park ‘N’ Fly, you will see a loading and unloading area.

Park n Fly Bus Stop

  • From this area, ride a public metro bus with a signboard that says “Edsa-MRT” or “Fairview”.
  • Tell the bus conductor to drop you off in “Pasay Rotonda”.
  • Once at your drop-off point in Pasay Rotonda, ride a jeepney with a signboard that says “Merville”. These jeepneys operate 24 hours daily and will take you all the way to Merville Access Road for 10 Pesos.

  • Once at Merville Access Road (landmark is Bingo Boutique), walk 650 meters straight along this road until you reach the Merville Village Gate, or you can also take a tricycle (7 Pesos per person / operates 24 hours daily) to reach this gate.

  • At the Merville Village Gate, you will find a walkway on the left area leading to a parking lot with green tricycles.

  • Ride one of the tricycles and tell the driver to drop you off at Lions Den.
    NOTE: It is advisable that you take these tricycles to Lions Den because the roads can be confusing. Visitors are also not allowed to walk inside the village at night. Cost is 24 Pesos / person / ride (operates 24 hours daily).

COST:
Public Metro Bus = 12 Pesos
Merville Jeepney = 10 Pesos
Merville Access Road Tricycle = 7 Pesos
Merville Village Gate Tricycle = 24 Pesos
TOTAL = 46 – 53 Pesos
