Pasay Rotonda 3
This is the Pasay Rotonda drop-off point. The building with the red billboard is Metropoint Mall. Inside that mall is the connecting walkway to the LRT Line 1 station.
  • The name of the LRT station in this area is called “Edsa”

From the Edsa station, you can head to the following destinations:

  • Intramuros

    Ride the train from Edsa station and alight at Central Terminal station where you can walk to Intramuros.

  • Luneta / Rizal Park

    Ride the train from Edsa station and alight at United Nations station where you can walk to Luneta / Rizal Park.

  • Chinatown / Quiapo

    Ride the train from Edsa station and alight at Carriedo station where you can walk to Chinatown (left exit) and Quiapo (right exit).

BUDGET TIP: From Quiapo, you can take a jeepney to Intramuros (7 Pesos). The jeepney stops in front of Quiapo Church. You should see an “Intramuros” signboard on the jeepney.

  • Chinese Cemetery

    Ride the train from Edsa station and alight at Abad Santos station where you can walk to the Chinese Cemetery.

  • Malate (for the nightlife)

    Ride the train from Edsa station and alight at Pedro Gil station.
    From the station, walk along Pedro Gil Street (landmark is the Petron gas station on the left side). As you walk, you will also pass by other streets such as Ma. Orosa, Bocobo, Adriatico, and Mabini. Every street has a number of bars and restaurants, but the most frequented areas are Adriatico and Nakpil.

COMING BACK
To Merville: Head back to the Pedro Gil LRT Line 1 station and take the train to Edsa station. Once at Edsa station, exit the station and head towards the pathway leading to the footbridge (you’ll notice it because there are vendors along the pathway). Once you reach the footbridge, cross it and exit to your right. Looking at the photo below, you will see the arrow pointed at the area where you can ride a jeepney with a Merville signboard (this jeepney will take you all the way to Merville – Bingo Boutique landmark).

Pasay Rotonda 4

For Makati, The Fort / BGC, Cubao X / Araneta Center

MAIN INSTRUCTIONS

  • Head to the Merville Access Road (landmark is Bingo Boutique)
  • Across it is the terminal for the “Pasay Rotonda” jeepneys. Ride one of the jeepneys and tell the driver to drop you off at “Pasay Rotonda”.
  • From your drop-off point at Pasay Rotonda, walk to the MRT (Metro Railway Transit) station. Looking at the photo below – which is the Pasay Rotonda drop-off point, the MRT station entrance is right beside Kabayan Hotel (that building with the red billboard).

Pasay Rotonda 3

The first MRT station in that area is called “Taft Avenue”. From Taft Avenue station, here’s how you go to these destinations:

  • Makati

    From Taft Avenue station, ride the northbound train to Ayala Station. And from Ayala station, you can walk to the shopping centers of the business district of Makati.

COMING BACK
Go back to the MRT Ayala station (your previous drop-off point), and ride the train back to Taft Avenue station. Once at Taft Avenue, exit out of the station and look for the outdoor footbridge that crosses to the other side of the street. You have to get to that footbridge because just below it, you will find the area where you can ride the jeepney to Merville.

  • The Fort / BGC – Bonifacio Global Center (Commercial Center)

    From Taft Avenue station, ride the train to Ayala station. Once at Ayala, head to the Telus Building (right exit). Beside it is the BGC Bus Station. The buses will take you to The Fort / BGC 24 hours a day.

BUDGET TIP: Right across Telus is Shell gas station. At the back of Shell is the terminal for the Market! Market! (a shopping center in the BGC area) bound jeepneys. You may also take this jeepney (530am – 12 midnight)

COMING BACK
In BGC, there are designated bus stops. Go to the nearest “West” bus stop and take the BGC “West Route” bus, which will bring you back to the BGC Bus Station. Once at the bus station, head to the MRT and ride the train from Ayala station to Taft Avenue station. Once at Taft Avenue, exit out of the station and look for the outdoor footbridge that crosses to the other side of the street. You have to get to that footbridge because just below it, you will find the area where you can ride the jeepney to Merville.

  • Cubao X / Araneta Center

    From Taft Avenue station ride the train to Araneta Center – Cubao station where you can walk to Cubao X (which is at the back of the very visible Araneta Coliseum).

Walk back to the MRT Araneta Center – Cubao station and take the train to Taft Avenue station (southbound). Once at Taft Avenue, exit out of the station and look for the outdoor footbridge that crosses to the other side of the street. You have to get to that footbridge because just below it, you will find the area where you can ride the jeepney to Merville.

  • Mall of Asia

    Heading to Mall of Asia is a different story. It takes two rides to get here from Merville without riding the train. Once again, from your hostel, you have to head to the Merville Access Road (landmark is Bingo Boutique).

    Across it is the terminal for the “Pasay Rotonda” jeepneys. Ride one of the jeepneys and tell the driver to drop you off at “Pasay Rotonda”.

    From your drop-off point at Pasay Rotonda, you have to take a public metro bus or another jeepney with a signboard that says “Mall of Asia”.

Public Metro Bus to Mall of Asia = 12 Pesos
TOTAL = 17 – 22 Pesos

From the Mall of Asia bus stop, take a public metro bus and tell the conductor to drop you off at Pasay Rotonda. At the Pasay Rotonda drop-off point, you will see jeepneys with a signboard that says “Merville”. Take this jeepney to go back to the Merville Access Road.
